Suicide is a tragic end to a valuable life, a terrible and permanent solution to a temporary problem. Yet, unfortunately, this is also one of the fastest-growing epidemics in the world.
The latest suicide statistics showed that in 2018, in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, more than 6,800 people died by suicide. Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy.
Suicide rates among construction workers in the UK are over three times the national average.
And we know that suicide is preventable, it’s not inevitable.
