A £78 million upgrade of Junction 10 of the M6 will ease congestion and speed up journeys

Contractor John Sisk & Son has been appointed to design and construct the new junction at Walsall. The project includes replacing the existing motorway bridges, increasing capacity at this long-standing traffic bottleneck, and enhancing overall safety for drivers.

Preparation work is scheduled to begin in the autumn, with full construction commencing in January. The project is expected to be completed by summer 2022.

This scheme is a joint venture between Highways England and Walsall Council, with additional support from the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership. By upgrading this key junction, the project will enhance regional connectivity and support economic growth in the area.
